Male guppies come in a dazzling array of colors and tail shapes, while females are larger and more subdued. They thrive in temperatures between 72–82°F and a pH of 7.0–8.0.

How do I set up a tank for beginner fish?
Before adding any fish, make sure your tank is fully cycled — this means establishing beneficial bacteria that convert toxic ammonia into safe nitrates. A proper cycle takes 4–6 weeks but is the single most important thing you can do for your fish's health. Once cycled, start with a small group of one species, observe them for a week, then slowly add more.
